HEY SISTERS & MISTERS !!
This International Yoga day SharanYoga is breaking down and sharing specifics of the Ashtanga primary & initial poses of the intermediate series. Her objective is to make this dynamic practice accessible for all.
The ‘Ashtanga vinyasa’ practice is a method of repetition, structure and discipline. We practice ‘Asana’ in set sequences. Movement is led by the breath and one posture leads to the next . We use the 3 pillars; the ‘Yoga deep breath’ & internal muscle locks ‘bandhas’ to build strength, the ‘drishti’ to control and centre the mind. The practice when done as per the traditional vinyasa count becomes a moving meditation. All the 8 limbs of Sage Patanjali’s Ashtanga philosophy come together to give us an experience of that ‘yogic state’.
