The Run session is led by an instructor and includes warm up, a 3K/5K run in the park (based on your comfort) and cool down.
Meeting Time: 6:30am
Meeting Point: Cafe Coffee Day - The Square
After everyone has collected at the meeting point, we walk across to Cubbon Park by around 6:45 am, where the instructor will begin the Warm Up.
Level: This session is open to runners of all Levels, from absolute beginners to regular runners.
What you should carry:
• Bottle of water
• Running shoes preferable
1. I have never run before. Is this session for me?
• Yes, the Sunday run sessions are for anyone: from beginners to anybody who's been running recreationally and is looking to improve the same.
2. The session is houseful. Can I still join?
• Unfortunately, no. Once a session is full, we’re unable to accommodate more participants as it becomes difficult to manage and ensure a great experience for everyone. We recommend booking early for next week to secure your spot!
3. Will I have to run the entire 3k/5k or be running for a continuous 1.5 hours?
• No. You can run-walk-jog as much as you want in the time allocated for the run. The coach will guide you through this part.
There is a warm up stretch and a cool down stretch done before and after the run. The duration of the entire session including welcoming and goodbyes typically last the timings mentioned.
4. Does this include strength and conditioning training, or nutrition related plans, etc.?
• No. Sunday sessions only include the run, and the coach may give you very generic tips on strength/nutrition, but no such training plans are included in the cost.
5. Can the location/timing of the run change?
• Yes. The location and/or timing of the session may change due to logistical challenges (if Cubbon Park is blocked for other events, or for elevated runs that SIS might organize, and other unforeseen circumstances). These changes will be communicated beforehand on our WhatsApp group.
6. Is there a parking around the run venue?
• There are public parking spaces around Cubbon Park, but you should plan ahead, arrive early, and figure this out.
7. Is it possible to drop off our bags somewhere?
Storage space entirely depends on whether someone has brought a car. Our suggestion is to come with the bare essentials for the run session i.e., running shoes, small water bottle, and your amazing energy, unless otherwise communicated by the team/coach. If you're on the WhatsApp group, you can check if someone is bringing a car.
