Tagda Raho is the OG Indian workout, and Tanvie, our Co-founder, being a professional footballer, enjoys the ‘functional’ nature of this type of strength training and has been an advocate.
Tagda training uses Indian clubs of different shapes and weights, sand pit training and body weight exercises. Using more natural elements and un-evenly weighted equipment is what makes it more functional and dynamic than strength training in the gym where the weights are evenly weighted and elements are more controllable.
This is why Tanvie enjoys it, and has included it in her training programme during her past two football seasons.
Having enjoyed the benefits of it, she wants others to try Tagda training as well, and so we’ve opened this session to women and men of all levels.
The session will be guided by a Tagda Coach, and Tanvie will participate along with all of you. The exercises can be tweaked to suit your personal level, so whether you’re a beginner or advanced, you will be pushed to a level of challenge that works for you.
Of course Tanvie will be there alongside you, so if you wanna compete with her - go for it! She will love it if you do! :)
